The "Model Fish" restaurant in Stamford is the perfect place for lovers of delicious food. Their dishes are always freshly prepared and full of flavor. The staff is extremely friendly and professional, always ready to help and advise on meal choices. The atmosphere in the restaurant is friendly and relaxing, perfect for spending time with family or friends. The prices at "Model Fish" restaurant are very reasonable, considering the quality and quantity of the dishes served. You can enjoy wonderful flavors here without burdening your wallet too much. Just got back from a short stay in the area and while we were having a wander around Stanford town came across this place. We decided to give it a try so me and my husband shared a regular cod and chips with curry sauce. We did have to wait a good 5 minutes as the cod was cooked fresh but I didn’t mind as it was fresh and hot. The place wasn’t very busy so I was a bit wary while waiting but honestly when we took them back to a park bench and shared them together, they were honestly the nicest fish and chips we have ever had! So tasty, fresh, seasoned so well and a really generous portion size. The fish, the chips and the curry sauce were all delicious and we couldn’t stop saying how nice they were as we were eating them. This place deserves way more recognition than some other local “award winning” fish and chip shops and is a hidden gem! We will definitely be back if we ever visit Stamford again!

When i visited this very Welcoming Establishment, i was Greeted with a very Warm Welcome. I was Treating my Bestfriends to meal, upstairs in there Restuarant. We made our way upstairs to there Restaurant and found a table and Grabbed some Menu's. We perused through the Menu's and chose what we wanted to have for our meals each. We chose the Large Fillet of Cod & Chips with Peas and Curry Sauce. With our Food i ordered us three Coca Cola's. We did not have long to wait for our Food. They brought us our Food in about 30/45 minutes. We were very Impressed with our Plates of Deliciousness and very Well cooked Fine Fayre. We really Loved our Food and Drink. Very Relaxing Restaurant and Atmosphere. When we had finished our Food, i asked for the Bill. I Paid in Full and gave a Generous Gratuity for the Excellent Customer Service, Food and Drink and a Great Atmosphere. We will be back. I absolutely Recommend with all of my Heart. We ordered in the restaurant and the food was delicious. Large haddock was perfect,cod goujons were really nice and the chips were well cooked. Decent cup of tea with a biscuit finished up a lovely meal. Recommend

Model Fish Bar – A Chippy Worth the Trip! After a long drive to Stamford for a weekend escape, a classic fish and chip supper in front of the TV just felt right. And wow—this place delivered! Super fresh fish, crispy batter that actually crunches (none of that soggy business), and chips with proper texture. One of us went for haddock—chunky, flaky, delicious. The other had scampi—perfectly cooked and seriously good. Pro tip: Order ONE portion of chips. A “regular” here could feed a small army!

Fish was delicious. Batter was nice and light and not holding any oil. Service was spot on. We will return even though it is an hour and a half away.

My husband and I tried this place for the first time tonight for dinner. We each had the regular cod with chips, a soda and split a starter of jalapeno poppers. The portion sizes were well generous for the price, the chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the fish was as fresh as you like. As for the jalapeno poppers...this Arizona girl would return just for them. The staff were friendly, service was quick and spot on. I have absolutely no complaints at this gem of a restaurant.

Delicious food. Myself and my partner had a burger and fish and chips. The food was delicious. Staff friendly and polite. Would highly recommend. Dropped in when looking for somewhere to have lunch and pubs were full. So happy we did. Much better than a pub lunch.
